The Course & Content Management System (CCMS) enables the design and custom assembly of course content and assessments by authors and trainers via a standard web browser and with the use of standard pre-defined templates.

The CCMS enables users with ‘Author’ roles to create ‘Scalable Content Object’ that is indexed and stored within a database for easy retrieval, customization (assembly) and deployment as ‘courseware’. This enables ‘special purpose’ courseware to be rapidly assembled and published to meet defined Learning Outcomes for any syllabus that needs to be customized for student cohort, learning / teaching modes and delivery mechanisms.

The primary functional components of the CCMS are:
	Instructional Technology component
	Instructional Design component
	Content Management component
	Assessment Tools component

The Instructional Technology component enables the key Standard Processes to enable courses to be designed with specified Learning Outcomes. These can be assembled into a Syllabus using the Syllabus Design Process to meet requirements for certification, compliance or any external specified standards.
The Instructional Design component enables the User (Author, Trainer, and Course Administrator) to customize the Syllabus and related Courseware to meet the learners’ needs based on medium of delivery, environment, and resources.
The Content Management component enables the use of web browser based interfaces and pre-defined templates to populate SCORM compliant content databases and to assemble course content.

The Assessment Tool features and functionalities are as follow:

	Various quiz format capabilities and question banks for flexible and dynamic reuse. The type of questions can be in the following formats:

		Fill in the Blanks
		Interactive Mode
	Enables timed tests and instant feedback to Learners
	Enables tracking and reporting of test scores to Administrator, Head of Department and Trainer (Coach)
	Test – When the learner is confident about taking the Assessment based on progress, he / she can select this option to start taking the appropriate test/quiz. The learner can navigate through the questions and select the right answer. Questions may be displayed one at a time. The learner (examinee) can submit his / her answer when he/she is satisfied with the answers. During the test, the system displays the number of questions, number of attempted questions and the test time remaining for the benefit of the learner. Once the learner starts taking the test, he / she will not be allowed to navigate through the browser’s navigation buttons.
	Permits repeat training and re-test for questions that were answered incorrectly subject to learning / teaching requirements.
	Provides functionality to develop tests/quizzes based on Learning Outcomes and predetermined syllabus structures
	Provides interface to the Learning Objects in CCMS to assemble Pre- and Post-Tests
